Exposed Aggregate Concrete

Decorative stones such as quartz or small river stones can be added to the surface of the concrete for a decorative "exposed aggregate" finish, popular among landscape designers.

The presence of aggregate greatly increases the strength of the concrete above that of cement. Whilst extremely popular for driveways, exposed aggregate can be utilized in a variety of ways wherever normal concrete is laid. It provides an attractive and easy to maintain option for pathways as well as patios, pergola areas and pool surrounds.

Color options include a wide variety of aggregates sourced from throughout Victoria as well as a comprehensive range of color oxides which can be added to the mix. The use of off white cement in some design mixes can also produce a lighter, creamier look.
